Each month we will be featuring a specific point style, considering how it may have been made, what it was commonly made out of, as well as its possible uses. Since this our first installment for "Point of the Month" it should make sense to go with a point style that is easily recognizable and local for Pennsylvania.
Part of being a flintknapper is wanting to show off your work to other knappers. Knap-Ins are great places to do that, but for those times when large get togethers are far off, or those who you wish to share with are even farther away, a photograph is the easiest way to share your work. This post is all about the photographs and how they can be made.
It rained, rained again and then some more but the 2015 Bald Eagle Knap-In turned out to be another great year. While numbers were down spirits still remained high as a beautiful first day on Friday turned into a very rainy weekend. Knappers came from all over some for the first time others for the 16th yr in a row. For that past 4 years Bald Eagle State Park has provided a wonderful location for the event at the swimming area of Foster Joseph Sayers Reservoir a 1,730 acre lake created by the Army Corps. of Engineers. Be sure to read more about the event after the jump.
